Maybe some better pictures of my old bike (Bought new 20 years ago). Need to take her out and dust some of the cobwebs off.

And about twenty years ago!!!

Nice bike. I had a Monster 1100 EVO that I really liked but traded it for a new 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S a few years ago. I love the Multistrada. It is just as capable as the Monster and even faster.

This is my bike. I have almost 11,000 miles on it now.

Still working on the Rolex.

That Ducati 750 SS (#16) is the second best looking motorcycle in the history of motorcycles, second only to the MV Agusta 750 SS (1973).

That is interesting I did the opposite of you, I had a 2013 Pikes Peak Multistrada and sold it last week. It was too high, too big and too heavy for my city riding.

I got more unsolicited compliments on the Monster in the first week than I did with the Multistrada in 4 years....

In the end its what you like and what works for you.

For me, anything more than an hour on the Monster was torture and I put nearly 17,000 miles on one. The Multistrada is so much more comfortable. I'm 5'11" and the Monster was too cramped. I feel the same way about sport bikes, too cramped for me.

The Multi is definitely a heavier bike but once you are moving that weight just seems to disappear and the bike just begs you to push it harder.

I don't care about compliments. That is meaningless to me.

This was my bike. Basically, the same bike you have. I took this picture when I did the 15,000 mile service (valve adjustment and timing belts). It was tough to part with it. I had an Ohlins rear shock (stock shock was garbage on that bike), Termignoni exhaust and a few other mods on it. I had a number of problems with the Monster too but I won't go into detail here. Suffice it to say, the Multistrada has been a bit more reliable.
