Submariner 114060 temptation !!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and Rolex watches. I've been dreaming about the 114060 for a while and last week I finally took the plunge and bought from my local authorised dealer. Whilst at the dealers, I told them that it was my birthday present, so they 'very helpfully' gift wrapped it.

And here comes the problem... my birthday is the 7th of March. I've only worn my new watch for about 10 mins and now, I have it at home wrapped up and I'm going crazy wanting to open it!!!!

How will I be able to resist temptation for over 3 weeks !!! Any ideas???

Cheers Steve.

Open it up, make sure everything is in order. Let the watch run, but if you want it to be special, start wearing it on your birthday. I am sure you can re-wrap it...

I turn 35 October 11 this year. I bought my first Rolex this past Monday 2/6 as my early bday gift. Just wear it. Enjoy.

You paid for it, may as well wear it.
If it was from friends or family I can understand waiting etc, but in this case out it on

The ancient original calendar is actually one month ahead, so it's really already Mar 11. You're late...

Life is too short you could get hit by a bus, rip off the wrapping and get the watch on your wrist. That is unless someone else bought it for you and they are really intent an watching squirm for a month. If that's the case look at lots of pictures, put it up as a screen saver on your computer and visit the forums 20 times a day .... which I am guessing is what you are doing now anyways :-)

How about a little positive reinforcement? Buy yourself an Explorer that you can wear now, as an advance reward for waiting until your birthday to open the Sub.
