Difficulty level for loving PCLs: nil, zilch, nada, a big donut.

Never needed to "grow" into liking them. Always had. Love them!

I wasn't sure about them when I bought my GMT but I loved them from day one. Also I don't understand the fear of scratches/smudges. Sure the PCLs scratch easier but it's a watch so scratches are to be expected.

I surprised myself. After looking at way too many pictures and reading about how PCLs scratched after collisions with airborne particles, I was convinced I hated them. Then, I went to the AD and saw them in person and found I much preferred the look to brushed on most models. Before, I was dismissing certain watches based solely on PCLs, but not anymore.

I have never like them. I did buy a DJII a few years ago to give it a try, ended up selling it about 6 months later.

I don't care about scratches on the PCL's, its the bling that I don't like. I am a SS/brushed fly under the radar kind of guy and the PCL's just draw attention IMHO.

What I actually don't like and will NEVER own, it a tool watch with PCL's.

I've grown to like them, having never owned one until recently, and after 20 years of having only brushed oyster bracelets it's a really nice change up.

I used to think that only the DJ on a jubilee bracelet was appropriate for a dressy occasion but now I see how a PCL oyster bracelet and polished case is great new option for me. It really defines the sport/dress watch balance Rolex has always strived to achieve.

I have no problem with them. 4 out of the 5 watches I have have PCL's. The scratches add character to them.

Nope, still don't like them but to chicken to send the watch away to get them brushed.

I like them fine; they add some nice visual contrast to the bracelet. I have zero interest in the all-brushed look.

Will they more readily show scratches? Sure, but so what? I've always believed that a thing/tool should show the signs of being engaged in its intended use. Scratched PCLs are no different to me than blued steel exhaust pipes - and I always want to see the bluing.

Has anyone grown to like PCLs?

I like the PCLs as it does add to the aesthetics. Just like anything we own (ie iPhones, cars, etc) scratches are unavoidable. Nothing is ever in perfect condition unless it isn't used/worn

They look good when new and look bad once the watch is a few years old unless you keep em polished

I go back and forth on them...once they get too many scratches I'll have em brushed out for a change of pace

Not a fan. I like the tool aspect of the brushed look. Not to mention it's more under the radar and is not a scratch magnet.

I like them, esp on PM models to add a touch of glamour and panache, and I don't care about marks down there, only the bezel and crystal bother me.

Thr PCL seems to blingy in pictures and when worn on my wrist. But seeing them on others they look great. Maybe I'm being overly conscious?

Has anyone grown to like PCLs?

If youre gonna put 116718 dial on it, it makes more sense with the TT. Cause of the yg markers. If they were wg, then it would be perfect for SS.

In the TT it will look like this:

(Found those pics online)

Don't get PCL's if you think you need to grow to like them. You may never. If you're dead set in a BLNR buy it and take it to another jeweler and have the PCL's brushed. Or get a Sub, DS, DSSD, Explorer, Explorer II. There are enough options that you don't have to force yourself into a watch that has a major feature you simply don't like.
