Poll PP,AP,DD wedding watch
Ok so I'm getting married 7-7-17 and my fiancée is "allowing" me to purchase a wedding watch!!I've been waiting for the Basel daydate rose white roman dial for a few months now and getting impatient so decided to broaden my range and add PP AND AP to the mix! Here's the three contender. What do you guys think??

I'd have the Patek! Smoke show dial on that one

Out of the 3, 5711, but I would suggest you take a look of AP 15202 in Gold too

I'd say the nautilus but depend on what suites you if you don't have a big wrist and you think if fits you well go for it. I like it a lot but tried it on and didn't suite me as I expected it to be so for me I'd go AP
*forgot to mention Black dial for AP. |

5711R is my choice.
You probably would have got a more fairer response if you had placed your question/poll in the "Other Non - Rolex Watch sub forum" That said, still a great place to be in right now :) Congratulations on both your forthcoming marriage and potential incoming.

No bad choice there Sean.
At that price point you have everything on the table. One of them will talk to you.

I've personally had a choice between the rose gold AP 15202 in blue dial vs the 5711r but after trying both on it was an easy choice for me. The 5711r really sits perfectly on my wrist and the chocolate dial is really something special. I personally believe that you can't go wrong with the 5711r. And you definitely won't lose money on it if you change your mind.

I have the same Rolex with the chocolate dial. I just went to my dealer last week and looked at the 5711r. Beautiful in person, with a nice weight to it that my 5712a doesn't have. It's priced at $51k but my dealer said, "we can certainly work with you on the price."

As you've been waiting for the DD, and it's more of a dress watch than the other two sporty models, I say "go for the DD"!

2 high horology, one not high horology, except if you like drawing attention to your watch forget the DD

Congratulations on your upcoming special day!
All 3 are great choices As someone mentioned above, you should also look at the AP 15202OR. If you get a chance, I would try all 3 at ADs and see which one really sings to you. The DD is the most recognizable and if you want the watch to be recognized by others, it is the best choice. However the AP and PP are watches only recognized by those who are into watches. No wrong choice here but ultimately you want to be happy with your decision. |

Depends if you love marriage and want reliability (Rolex) or looking for trouble and long wait times to be... serviced LOL.

I just tried on the 5711/1r last night (again). It is a perfect weight and silky smooth. The bracelet is like butter. Get it, you'll love it. And congrats on your upcoming marriage!
