I have a Luminox watch that is all black and shows a tiny bit of wear after almost 20 years. But, I wear it mostly at night. It was meant to be powder coated and costs less than $500.

Seeing a Rolex painted makes me cringe. Seems like an insult to the people who made the watch.

Years ago when I said I think the Aquanaut is a ugly watch, someone replied with a picture of George Soros wearing one, as if a billionaire wears one, something must be wrong with my taste.

Well Beckham has a Bamford black deepsea, so i guess it can't be that bad, lol.

I love how it looks, but 25k is a little steep. It's not that expensive to have independent watchmakers repair a Rolex, as long as you plan on keeping the piece go for it!
