Given the frenzy over pre-oyster chronos, I'm wondering if there's a zero missing on the price or whether there is something in the pics I'm not seeing?

I'd be inclined to agree. The Rolex signing on the bridge looks rather sloppy... but then this piece is presumably pre-war and finishing and engraving may be of variable quality.
