But, the huge problem here is the use of Grade 2 Titanium...especially if the screw down crown and tube are made with it. It is weak and inferior compared to GR 5 titanium...

Breitling used it a decade ago and the screw down crowns would strip out constantly. It was so bad they punted and switched to steel. Now they have another TI model (Bandit, but I think that is GR 5)....

Grade 2 makes it a pass for me...
Learning question, how can you tell which grade of titanium is used?

Doesn't work for me at all I hate to say. From the bracelet, to the fake patina, to the inflated price, I'm desperately looking for something special on here I don't hate. Oh well, not for everyone I guess.

I love it but I'm a sucker for the vintage look. Will be very tempting when it's available far below MSRP.

I like it - it's a good mix of modern and vintage.

But, as others have said, it's the price point that really detracts from it.

Thanks for info, always good to learn something new. Thanks again!

PS: If i may add about pricing.... let's call it 'mission creep'

Do Seamasters tend to wear big on the wrist?

Not at all due to very short lugs. This watch at 42mm wore more like a 40mm, IMO.

I like real, hard earned patina

Do not like faux patina.

Also, this watch lists for a high price compared to regular Seamasters.

Fatigue, shear and tensile strength much lower in grade 2 Ti. Not sure why they decided to use this versus grade 5 that’s used in the Seamaster 300.

Omega hoping the branding will sell this watch and the movie of course. Maybe to make even more profit

Hmmmm.... Where's the editorial independence? Are they now merely an advertorial blog?

It will be interesting to see how they trade on the secondary market, given it will be a regular production model. If it trades at a steep discount, then it's worth considering.

Like others, I think the MSRP is absurd. Should be available down the road for well under MSRP.

My other thoughts...
The NATO strap is cool.
Wish it had sword hands.
The faux patina is over done a couple shades.
I'm not a fan of the bracelet. Reminds me too much of my wife's Apple Watch bracelet.

To each their own.

OMG I could never wear this. I can safely say there's absolutely nothing I like about this piece.

Dull titanium, skeleton hands, mesh not matching the style of the case, terrible/ghastly/dreadful fauxtina. MOD/007 branding is cheesy to me.

Overall it looks so artificial IMHO. It's trying way too hard to look vintage and cool, but unfortunately fails miserably, not that it's a good idea in the first place. Don't be ashamed of what you are, a modern timepiece. Don't try to look older than you are, it's a bit ridiculous.

Let watches age naturally and beautifully. Don't cheat time, don't jump the gun, OMEGA.

Full disclosure, I own a PO2500C 45.5 "Casino Royale" since 2005, my first and last Bond watch at this pace.

I can’t really disagree with this sentiment. I think they pushed it too far w this one.

I find it comical that Omega releases an hommage to a Rolex!!!

Non-date, Goldfinger/Thunderball strap pattern, bubble glass...... totally 6538 big crown at its golden years in Hollywood...

But I do like the fact Omega pursues on building a whole lineup of 007 Seamasters over the years, which at one point will gain collectable value if they continue over 2 more decades at least.

I love the look, but the price is way too high and I was disappointed when I read on their site that it was grade 2 Ti. Surely the stem tube and crown threads are steel (?) but why would they go 15 years back in time and use a metal that the industry has largely moved away from? I’m no metallurgist, so maybe someone can correct/inform me.

Still, cool looking watch though.

I like it on nato. The only thing I don’t like is the mesh bracelet. Looks like something you could pick up cheap after market.

The price is utterly bonkers however. £7,390.

Yes IMO. I had the 2531.80, 2254.50 and 2255.80 and they were significantly larger and heavier than a 5 digit Sub. I'd say ou need to try before buying if size is a concern.

I like the idea and how it looks, but I wouldn't buy a titanium watch. If it had SS case and a regular bracelet with adjustable clasp, sword hands and no fake patina I'd be a buyer.

It's like they took everything that's nice about the new Seamaster and took it out.

Yeah. All the Bond watches are pretty tacky really. I had the Spectre for a short while but part-ex it in for a Kermit.

Couldn’t get on with the 007 logo on the clasp. Childish really.

I really like this one! Looks good on the ti mesh and the NATO. I am liking the matte finish. Price is waaay out of line, but would happily purchase at around the $4500 range
