16600 SD "N" Series has Replacement Dial/Hands...But no mention by Seller.
Err buddies...if ya switch off the light on this 16600 SD said to be of "N" Series(which is supposed to
come originally with Tritium Dial "SWISS-T<25"/Hands produced around 1992)... The hour markers/hands would most likely illuminate in the dark...simply because the watch now has a later Service Replacement Dial "SWISS MADE"...Bezel insert n Hands with Luminova markers...instead. Nevertheless...this eBay PowerSeller - ublawstudent ... has NOT mentioned any of the issues in his eBay listing of this 16600 SD said to be "N" series...apart from indicating that the watch has just had an RSC servicing done in 2007 or something like that... Personally Orchi feels the Seller ought to have disclosed those facts to the potential bidders... instead of just saying... "ALL MY WATCHES ARE 100% AUTHENTIC, GUARANTEED, OR ALL YOUR MONEY BACK!! THIS IS A GORGEOUS ROLEX SEADWELLER WATCH! THIS BEAUTY RETAILS AT OVER $7,000 AND IS NOW DISCONTINUED SO IT'S A RARE COLLECTIBLE AND HARD TO FIND IN SUCH REMARKABLE CONDITION! MODEL 16600 THIS WATCH JUST CAME BACK FROM A $938 SERVICE ON MAY 7, 2008!! IN NEAR MINT / EXCELLENT CONDITION! IT LOOKS AWESOME! WITH BOX, BOOKLETS, HANG TAGS, ETC!!" What's your verdict...for the lack of disclosure...? http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-SEADWELLER...QQcmdZViewItem |

From the looks of the feedback, it is apparent the seller is into flipping watches. While he may have found this watch at a great price and is looking for a quick profit, it is obvious that he is oblivious to the extent of the service done by Rolex, which may have included the hand replacement. Maybe he did not get the actual receipt of actual work done.
I think if he was aware of the information, he would disclose it. You have keen eyes, Mr. Orchi.. |

I must say I get a chuckle out of the effort made in earlier pictures to hide the original owner's name and how in later shots it is quite clear!!
Should he have been a bit more diligent in his disclosure of the extent of the service, possibly, but looking at feedback this seller does not make me uncomfortable... R |

Orchi, there are many people "flipping" watches that wouldn't know the difference between an original dial and a Rolex replacement dial, let alone the dial markings for luminova or tritium. Personally I don't see any harm here, as the parts are original as replaced by Rolex, especially since they don't use tritium anymore. It would have been better if he had stated this, but I'm sure he doesn't know the difference. If this watch was shown to 9 out of 10 Sea Dweller owners, they probably wouldn't think anything was wrong with the dial.
But, that is just my opinion.
