It looks like it was in the safe room all along and it was being saved for someone 'special'. Did you introduce yourself as a pilot? :) The connection could have been made then and the rest as you know would be history. Congrats and wear it in good health! :)

When I was purchasing he let me know they needed approval for every SS Rolex they sell and they knew I was a genuine enthusiast who loved the piece. They are definitely screening but the watches are out there
