New in the game

I’ve been kicking around getting into another watch brand and am pretty intrigued by Seiko’s intent to push the brand into a new position in the US. Based on the research I’ve done it seems likely they will be successful. Do you guys agree? I’m considering the purchase of an SLA025 as my first foray into the brand, it looks cool and I’m liking the idea of it commemorating an iconic model and being a limited edition. I’d love to hear the opinions of some of you guys about the brand and if this model is a good choice.

They will be successful. My AD says it’s picking up steam. They also have a sla025 in stock. You can PM me if you want.

I pulled the trigger on one this morning. Delivery Wednesday as I’m traveling. Can’t wait to get it.

Not sure about “rise” of Seiko in the US market as they sell watches ranging from $50-$5000 so a bizarre range to be in. Grand Seiko, however is a different story and GS has been clear about their plans for the US market . GS has a more consistent and uniform product and I think has and certainly will increase their market share significantly in the luxury watch cetegory.

Congratulations. A great way to start and enjoy a brand. I have never been disappointed with Seiko. Maybe my expectations are different but I have always had fun with them and I do not have issues with minor imperfections the same way I do with other brands. Don't know why though. Enjoy.

Its here! Super cool, seems to be none of the quality issues regarding dust, the crown etc. Feels comfortable, cool watch, wears smaller than I thought it might based on the dimensions.

Excellent choice, that is beautiful. Seiko is a great brand that delivers a ton of value for their price.

Wait until you start looking at some of their vintage stuff. Talk about a rabbit hole to fall into.
