Keep 300 Master Coaxial vs buy Specter 300?

So, question and looking for some honest input.

I had a Spectre 300 Master Coaxial for a couple of years. Was forced to sell it, and much of my collection, to fund some business expenses and coverage.

Fast forward almost two years, and things are back going well. Just bought most of it back. Picked up a 300 Master Coaxial about a few weeks ago, and love having that watch back. But keep thinking about the Spectre.

Now, having said that, it’s a little less than 3 times the cost of the watch I bought. I could either buy one now, and sell the 300 Master Coaxial. Or, I could keep what I have. Look for one in a few months, and get a Datejust 41 in the next few weeks.

I have never had a Datejust, and generally am not a Rolex fan, but love the Jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel. Would be a primarily going out, dinner, gatherings type watch. Would wear the Spectre a lot more day to day.

Only difference between two are the bezel and seconds hand. Don’t know that it is worth 6500 plus. And am not sure how collectible it will be long term.

Thoughts?

People pay far more with smaller differences on vintage Rolex... It's all dependant on the individual. I own the Spectre but probably wouldn't pay the premium on the market now. But that's me.

I have the Spectre model and it is the only Omega watch I keep. Love the watch since it is a deviation from the usual Omega Seamaster Bond watches. Believe it is the first Omega watch Bond wore in the movie too; thus it has some significance in the Bond lore.

Omega releases too many limited edition or special watches that I personally would not pay the premium for.

There is no way I would pay the extra for basically the same watch. I would keep what you have, it is a great watch and look elsewhere for another.

This. I have the regular version and although both beautiful pieces I prefer it, regardless of the price.

I think you guys are saying what my gut is.

I think, this close to Basel, I would wait. I love the Spectre, and may still get one down the road. But I am happy with my 300 Master as it is.

Besides, I think when you look at how much I would have in the Spectre, I can almost get the Datejust. It fills a slot I don't have.

I will wait till Basel, see what if anything they have new I like, and go from there.

I picked up the new Seamaster this last month. Love it! Worthy update.

I appreciate it guys! Thanks for the replies, and keep em coming.

Personally, I would just add the omega nato to the sm300mc and call it a day
(Mine is on the nato 98% of the time. Lol)

The spectre edition is nice, but not worth the current extra premium imo.

However, keep in mind that if u do get the spectre edition, u prob will recover the $ when (and if) u sell it again down the road.

Thread needs more pics..
