So this happened today.... Seamaster #2
Went to DavidSW store in Orlando today to pick up a Tudor Black Bay and this gem followed me home. I have always wanted a white face watch and I am a bit of a SeaMaster Stan so it happened. (points if you get the Stan reference)
I don't know much about this reference, like what the reference number even is? I am guessing watch is about 10 years old?? Thanks!\ fullsizeoutput_1c85.jpg |

I went to Orlando for vacation a few weeks ago and stopped into DavidSW. It was a very nice store. People were very friendly. No real inventory showing. They told me it was all in the back. I didn’t stay long. I didn’t want to waste their time pulling stuff from the back when I wasn’t prepared to buy. They told me they keep them in the back so they stay as pristine as possible. I do think that is one reason but I think theft is the main reason. Knowing how Florida is with crime and the armed guard locking and unlocking the front door for its customers. I would say smash and grab is their main concern. I would imagine they are armed in the back and as they should be. Very nice people and a very nice place. I would buy from them online or in person for my next watch.

Yes, that is only bad part is he only has a few watches in the case. David personally told me that they learned that stocking the case each day and then transferring all the watches to the safe at night led to too many drops and accidents. That part of Orlando is pretty nice, but its clear they intentionally keep it discreet. I always email David a list of the watches I want to see. The last two times I have dealt with Jose, and he is an absolute Prince. I don't see myself buying anywhere else, not like the Rolex AD has any watches!! |

I would imagine transferring back and forth could cause scuffs and possible dropping. The area is a nice area. I go to Florida a lot. I do know the crime of Florida moves into these areas.

What caliber is that? 8500? Can't you see it through the caseback?
The dial (teak design) looks just like my Aqua Terra 38.5mm Skyfall -- probably not 10 years old... |

Nice watch! I believe it was commemorative of the Ryder Cup golf tournament.
Enjoy your Aqua Terra. I love mine a lot. |

DavidSW is in a pretty good area, I outside of Tampa, but I am in Orlando a lot for business. I believe there would be a lot of drops and scuffs and time wasted loading everything into the safe. I used to know a jewelry store owner and he loathed the task each night and morning. I also imagine there would be a ton of tourists stop by and want to try on 20 watches. They have always been very accommodating when I sent a list of what I would like to see and I have always walked out with one.

Great looking watch!!
Is SeaMaster Stan related to Scuba Steve? (Bad Adam Sandler reference, but I couldn't resist) |

Great looking watch. Those blued hands make a stunning contrast with the white dial.
Congratulations! Cheers, Carl
