There have been a few of the openworks incoming recently. So another would be great

Or maybe there is something else in that lovely green box! Lets see - either way its an AP so look forward to the reveal.

Its carbonated, so id shake it up and spray it around the boutique, like i just won the world series.

Hey, you had an early headsup. So don't spoil the fun! But too late, I guess it's already an open secret.

Actually, that's the drink of the boutique manager. Did't took a proper shot. In the AP House, they have a variety of premium whisky and booze but it's too early in the day so I asked for coffee instead.

OK, without further ado, here comes the pics! I just got the 15407ST today. As everyone knows, this watch is not easy to get, with limited production and huge waitlist. Took me some hard work and pulling strings ( including throwing my toys ) but I am happy I am allocated one in a shorter than expected time. Kudous to AP Hong Kong for coming good

The 15407 is the new openworks launched 2 year back. It basically featured the same hand-worked skeletonized dial like the previous release of 15305 ( which I have as well ) but with two importance differentiation. A golden bridge that is across the balance wheel and also instead of one balance wheel, there is now two. It's debatable if the two balance wheels works as a "resonance" but it's supposed to enhance accuracy ( I haven't test it out ).

The watch wears very similar to my 15400ST but the stunning skeletonized dial is the main attraction here. The combination of the golden bridge and the rapidly spinning double-balance wheel give the watch a distinctive "Tourbillon" feel.

As expected of an AP, the finishing is first class. Every part of the dial is carefully finished by hand, and this is evident from all the sharp corners of the bridges and plates. Watchfinders youtube video channel has a very good video on this which I posted earlier.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=586781

And yes, the watch is worth the hype. No wonder Sam is so crazy about it. Does it mean I will now get rid of my 15305OR? I am not sure, especially with the attached all RG bracelet. I think they can co-exist in my collection. Afterall, I seems to collect multiple of the same AP ref, 2 divers, a 15400+15202, so perhaps now a 15407ST and a 15305OR.
