Water resistance custom bezel.

Hey guys, does anyone know if the water resistance on a submariner gets compromised if you install a custom bezel ?
Thanks.

Depends on who does it, what you’re trying to do and how it’s done
But if it’s done right you should be good

Take a hulk and turn it into this ... will it lose waterproofness?

No, but you could have problems with your timing?

It does not lose impermeability, but it does not make sense to do that

Well obviously it wouldn't be used for diving. But the occasional dip in the pool or at a pool party ...

Liberace called. He said that watch isn't gaudy enough.

This was Elton John’s favourite Coke watch.

Joking aside it’s kind of growing on me. I’d never have the balls to wear it but can’t help admire those that do.

WOW! That's one of a nice watch! Remind me Patrick Day celebration in Ireland.
As for OP's question. You may need waterproof tested before deeping it in the water. That is if it wasn't tested after mods.

I cannot see why it should lose waterproofness from chaining bezel. I say go for it. Not my taste, but I can see some of those rappers 6pac, Dr.Snoop, m&m and 5cent be all over that!

The gemset pieces are truly amazing but I personally wouldnt want anything that is aftermarket. It cheapens the watch IMO

Bezel change won’t affect water resistance when done properly and tested following replacement. I don’t think I could wear the watch but it doesn’t look half bad for those who like gems on their watch.

If you take the crystal out to install the new bezel maybe. Just don’t change the clasp water will get in for sure.
