Non Magnetic Tweezers now magnetized?

My Non-Magnetic Dumont #5 is slightly magnetized. So far the demagnetizer doesn't seem to have any effect on the tweezers.

Has anyone else experienced this?

When you demagnetize the tweezers, do you also demagnetize the part that got magnetized by the tweezers? Because if you keep trying to pick up that part you will RE-magnetize the tweezers.

Call me crazy, but it seems non ferrous metal construction would be a good thing for tools like this.

The tweezers are made of a non magnetic metal (no pull when demagnetizing). I didn't try demagnetizing the part itself, but it's moot.

Maybe I will move to brass tweezers.

I use brass tweezers. Doesn't get magnetized and doesn't scratch any surface.

Bingo

Just picked up some brass tweezers. Much better.

I'm still scratching my head about the non-magnetic set though

Ceramics are very hard, harder than steel. Hard material = scratching.
