Calibre 1520 power reserve

Quick question, I have been wearing my 1520 5500 for three weeks straight, but I took it off the night before last to wear a different watch. It sat for a day. I went to pick it up this morning and it had stopped. It seems it only lasted 35 hrs. What could be wrong with it?

Are you sure it was fully wound before you set it down? Makes a big difference.

There could be many things.

1. You're not active enough for the automatic winding system to turn the ratchet wheel as many times as are required to have a full power reserve.
2. Your reverses are shot.
4. Your ratchet driving wheel is shot.
5. Improper endshake of any component in the winding train or automatic winding train.
6. Mainspring broken near the end; winds but doesn't atore or provide as much energy as a mom broken mainspring.
7. Too much resistance in the gear train; your watch will only run at a high state of wind due to the greater power requirement. This can be dry oils, worn pivots, improperly adjust pallet, etc.

This is about 1/10 of the potential issues.

Most likely your watch just needs a standard service.
