Pretty cool closeup shot of my Sub

I've been experimenting with my Canon 30D, 50mm f1.8 lens and a 12mm extension tube. I had to mount the camera on a tripod with the lens about 10 inches away from the subject to get this shot. Used a 1 second shutter speed to capture the second hand movement.

I just took an even better pic one.

Great shots. Subs always photograph well. I took these with my mobile phone camera (Google pixel XL and a clip on lens). Enjoy.

That is a very nice macro shot. Very detailed.
Speaks for the finish on the timepiece.

Yes, very nice shot!

I wouldn't call the pic I took macro photography. Just a cool timed closeup shot. I really wanted to capture the sweep of the second hand.

Nice match up between the streaks of the seconds hand and the streaks of blue sunray.

Thanks. It's easy. Use manual mode and set shutter time to 1-2 seconds and see what happen. Use a large f-stop to get wide DOF and exposure.
