Icon5 Daytona 116519 wabk question

In my quest for Sub or Sea Dweller window shopping and education, I came across this gem :)

I can't say i didn't like it. A lot. :)

I think I should still go for the Sub or SD, but would like to ask your opinion on this watch and EDIT: is the below price fair? Maybe there is room for negotiation :D :D The watch is from 2004 and seems to be in a good condition. I might not have looked too detailed, i was a bit mesmerized :D EDIT: just re-read the rules. The ad priced it just over $14.
Or is generally a WG Daytona on a leather strap a no no, as in (there is a beautiful German saying "will aber kann nicht") the budget didn't allow for WG bracelet, so saving a buck.

I generally prefer Rolex with a bracelet. this is the first one i liked enough to actually try it on.

As always, thank you for your input and help.

I won't bother you with all my Sub SD questions... maybe not just yet :D

Mesmerisation is always a good criterion on which to base a watch purchase. Nothing quite like PM I say.

Daytona on leather is fine, certainly not a no-no. The white gold Daytona’s are very nice. Look at the trusted sellers here and see if anyone is selling a similar watch and see what the prices are. You really can’t go wrong with this or either of the divers you are considering, though they can be had for much less $$. I’ve tried on many PM rolexes and love them, I’m not sure I could go back to SS after getting used to the weight of gold on my wrist. That’s the risk... only gold will do and the hobby becomes substantially more expensive. So I’m a SS guy. For now...

Daytona on a strap is a natural fit...(nothing I can't afford the bracelet about it.) Still a Sub or Sea Dweller would be a great first Rolex and something like this would be for building a collection with.

Thank you!!

Yeah, on a fifth thought, I'm going to pass on this one.
But i have to say, i really liked it.

I think the SS Sub or SD will be a better fit for the moment.

I've done some Sub AD and TS shopping the last two days and it's going to be a loooong sunday and monday. and every day, until i get one!!

Thank you again!

You can pull it off T, no probs there. I think you're set on a Sub though.

116519 is a perfect choice, sometimes even cheaper then some SS versions.
And for about 1K$ you can change the dial and/or strap and have a totally different watch again!

Good decision. Going with your initial gut feeling/choice brings the best outcome almost every time.

I'll go with Neil on this one. I like the Daytona on you better, TBH.

If anything, flip your other watches for the sub/SD.
