390 burnout

I love the 390, but not willing to pay a jacked-up price for one. I've been lurking around the for sale forums and have noticed that they are starting to come down in price.

I know nobody can tell for sure, but in the past how long did it take for LE hysteria to die down on the hot models? Anybody have a guess if the 390 will eventually be available for under $6K? Thanks for any & all advice. I've got a few other models at the top of my list & am willing to wait as long as it takes for a reasonably priced 390.

I'll give it a shot.

No, possibly.

I've seen them gently used already on the forums for as little as 6899. Doesnt take that long for the "hysteria" to die down as OP is comming out w/ more models. If it was my buck I'd wait a little longer-then again I'm 1 impatient bstrd
Good luck w/ the chase-IMO that's 1/2 the fun of collecting

By this time next year for sure. Everyone will be so fired up for the new releases just announced at SIHH along with some of the models from last year that still aren't out yet and the 390 will be able to be bought at much more reasonable prices.............look at the Boutique Editions from last year...........hysteria at first...........you can buy them for MSRP today.

I hope so

But I don't think the 2nd hand market price for 390 will come down significantly any time soon because this year's releases are kinda "weak", nothing like last year's 372 - gave us a "WOW". Just my $0.02.

Weak.........really????? Paneristis are already going nuts over 448, 449 and 422. Rhe response to the 422 is way beyond what we saw for the 372. Besides those, the 386 still has not been released. The pricing on the 390 will end up looking like the stock market in the Fall of 2008..........get ready to make a great buy!!!!!

There's one on "the other" forum right now for $6,800 or offers, probably others also. Personally would not pay more than MRSP, not that I am in the market for this piece.

With tax out the door these guys paid around $5400-$5500 so I can see them in the low $6's down the road.

I've ordered 390 through one of the european boutiques on September 7th...I guess I'm not very special customer since I'm still waiting for it :)

I think it's a great base SE for the price but not paying the asking premium for it. I'm even thinking that I'll give my money to my local AD and get 233 instead, maybe..:)

I put my name down in a euro boutique around the 7th for the 390- I also had no ties to the store in question - just sent them an email requesting to go on the list and got the call in early December to say my 390 had arrived - i think it is luck of the draw to be honest!

I emailed the same boutique the day after Sihh to go on the list for a couple of the new 2012 models and they never replied!
