New bloke from Melbourne

Hey Guys and Girls,

Been reading these forums for quite some time, figured it's time to introduce myself.
I'm Haydn, from Melbourne, Victoria.

I'm a structural engineer, so work in an office, but love getting out 4wding and fishing when I can.

I currently own a datejust 1601 from 1968 but am considering either getting rid of that and getting a GMT II BLNR, or possibly keep it and still get the GMT.
The datejust is in very good nick and I'm a bit rough, so whilst it suits my work, it doesn't suit my play. Think I'd prefer something I can wear for everything.
Being a 1601, it doesn't have the quickset, so it's a bit cumbersome to wear it now and then.

Anyway, looking forward to reading the threads and hopefully over the years I'll be able to contribute something useful.

Cheers,
H

so 2 years on....

2 years on and I've finally picked up this bad boy!
I wanted a 2016 model so it's my son's birth year - if he's been a good boy it might end up being his 18th birthday present - right in time for me to reward such a generous gift by getting myself something awesome for my 50th!
