Batman Rolex featured in new film about corrupt mayor

https://www.heraldnews.com/news/2020...entary-is-here

This mayor took, among many other things and hundreds of thousands of dollars (that they know about, so far), a Batman as a bribe. It made wide news in New England (I bought my first Batman that day the charges were announced).

Yes, the trailer incorrectly shows a photo of a Sub but the BAtman was the watch he was charged with and correctly pictured in the news and documented in the indictment (though both the old one and the new one, depending on what report that you read).

More interesting is that a Hollywood motion picture based on the true story is reported to be in works (also allegedly involving Scocese). Knowing Rolex marketing, I expect a scene to feature that particular watch exchange

Ironic for the righteous dark knight to become an instrument of corruption... probably neither the first nor the last time
