2019 season is so close! Been watching the testing today to scratch the itch until Melbourne.

The Ferrari looks incredible

Yes man, so close. I’ve been watching testing as well. I can’t wait for the F1 season to kick off!

This is shaping up to be the most wide-open championship since 2010.

Hamilton and Merc will be the combination to beat, but the Scuderia will be quick and LeClerc is going to put the willies up Vettel, that’ll be a great battle to watch. Then there’s Verstappen who might have a shot at the title if he continues to demonstrate that he’s stopped treating F1 like a demolition derby.

I think there’s an outside chance that Sky in the U.K. as well as broadcasting in UHD may well deliver the races in glorious HLG HDR later in the year.

Can’t wait for the chequered flag to drop.

It's building up for an interesting season.
First race is less than 1 month away now.
I hope there is some great competitive racing this year.

Also interested to see how these new regulations shape up. For one thing the DRS gap is massive!

Williams is falling apart. I thought Paddy Lowe would help the team but he's been a disaster.

I am so eager for the season to start. Great new cars. Drivers moved around a bit and add in some new rules and specs. This should be great.

Only flaw is see coming is more Martin Brundle. Paint drying is more exciting than that breathing corpse.

Bring back my Hobbs and Matchet. (Wife would watch when those two were on. They made her laugh)

I think it's only being broadcast on F1 TV Pro.

I can’t wait for the new season to start.
The new Ferrari looks like a beast. It’s all down to Vettel to make it work as he’s done so much cock-ups last year. IMO LeClerc is not experienced enough to give Vettel a hard time but hopefully I’ll be wrong.

I’m not expecting Verstappen to cause any damage to Hamilton’s and Vettel’s races with his new Honda RB car.
Roll on Melbourne.

Ferrari I think will be right there with Merc, have to see other than low power tracks I think RB is more like to come back to the field than stay in the hunt with the front 2 teams. Monaco could be interesting with Dan always quick there and the power less of an issue. Interesting to see how fast the Monégasque will be, lets hope as quick as Vettel. I cant see Boatass staying with Hamilton and Vettel. If the cars are that close at the front which you will know in quali in Melbourne team orders you expect will start early for both front running teams.

I have not seen any 'intel' to suggest that any of the teams have made any major progress on their 2018 status which suggests that 2019 will be a repeat of 2018.
It seems unlikely that either a Renault or Honda engine will result in any significant reorganisation of the podium.
Hopes for individual drivers rest almost entirely upon the performance of their Teams (engine/chassis) and at this stage I think we are only really looking at the order in which places two to six will be filled.

I don't mind Brundle, but I really do miss Matchet and Hobbs!

BTW, some shots of Christian Horner's watch from 2018 Yas Marina. Admittedly my WIS skills are too feeble to identify it.

Looks like a Tag Heuer Autavia. Makes sense as they’re a major RB sponsor.

Hey that looks spot on
I guess I should pay more attention to the badging on the cars and uniforms. The only ones that actually registered in my brain are IWC/Mercedes and Hublot/Ferrari.

Imagine being contractually obliged to wear a Hublot

Drive for a top team and wear Hublot, TAG. Drive for a back marker team and wear Richard Mille.

At least you can get any new Ferrari though. Only 2 employees are allowed any allocation of a new Ferrari, the 2 F1 drivers.
