Thank you! I think the dial on the Explorer II is actually bigger and the hour markers and hands definitely are larger! Just beautiful. How much wrist time is each getting? Which is more comfortable?

My favorite Rolex. Last true tool watch. It wears bigger then the SD43 do. I find it to wear very similar to an AP 15400. 7inch wrist:

As others have stated, Tim is a salesman.... Generally speaking, it’s the combination of being both rare and in demand that that increases the perceived value of a Rolex, or anything else for that matter... I’ve got a garage full of stuff collecting dust & rust that are one-of-a-kind items, but most of it will be considered junk until someone comes beating down my door begging to buy it.

Isofranes come in 20 and 22 so he probably just trimmed the 22 slightly which is easy.

My experience is different, the EXP II fits smaller than my RO 15400 and more comfortable than a SD which felt thicker and top heavy. I know folks get turned off looking at the spec sheet at 42mm, but they should really try it on, it is the most comfortable of all my watches including 40mm Sub and GMT.

The Exp2 is 21mm spacing at the lugs. The SD43 is 22mm.... I measured recently wondering if the glidelock on the SD43 would fit the ExpII 216570 (optimistically) and it does not.

I don't see them in stock anymore but they are not hard to get. Just ask your AD and they'll probably give you the next available one.
