Is the case of the CHNR different than BLNR ?

The CHNR has a new movement which I am aware of. However, I am not sure if the CHNR and other new GMT’s which were revealed this year in Basel also have a new case.

Could anyone kindly shed light on this ?

Thank You in advance.

The movement 32 is exactly the same size as the 31 movement so no need to change the case.

I'm fairly certain that the only "changes to the case" for the new GMT's breaks down like this:

BLRO = Supposedly, they changed the inner lug holes to accommodate the new jubilee bracelet. Not sure on this, as I think I recall some members switching the bracelets around. Perhaps someone has more specific details?

CHNR and BLRO = Rolex changed the way they polish the cases so the edges are sharp or sharper, along with a more brilliant shine to the polished areas.

At least, that's what I recall reading about during the Basel introduction.

Don't you have both? If so, you would be the guy to answer this question...

Its a different case manufacturing process. Its been slightly enlarged inside for the new movement. This was disclosed at Baselworld. I can try to look up the press specs. A couple of videos where the owner of several older GMT's had to size the CHNR different than his others and he mentions his BLNR and CHNR are differently sized.

I do and the CHNR feels bit wider on the wrist or bigger. But I don’t have tools for changing the bracelet so can not confirm about the changes to the inner lug holes.

Thank you Mystro or should I say CHNR MASTER ? :)
So the changes are inside and not the outer case of the
Watch ?

The CHNR case is 100% identical in dimensions to the former GMT cases. The only difference is the position and size of the lug holes and the height of the endlink shelf. Crown guards and lug tips are the same lengths and widths.

As mentioned, the crispness of how they're brushed, lapped and polished is now different from before, causing them to visually appear different. But, physical footprint hasn't changed.
