44mm too big for me?

Hello, I need some help. So I tried on the 1312, 1320, and 1321 and I think they look fine on me until I started noticing that the lugs extend beyond my wrist, do you think they’re too big for me? Thanks.

what size is your wrist?
it looks a bit large for you...

I have a 6.75inch wrist and a 44mm Panerai is pretty much near my max, at least for me personally.

In the perspective of the pics, yes, I believe with the lugs extending beyond your wrist shape, the watch is too large. IMO.

If you like it, then go for it :) That's all that matters.

I'm thinking these look too big on your wrist, judging from the pics. A picture from a few feet away may be a more accurate portrayal of how it looks on you.

My personal preference/judgement on a watch is that if it overhangs my wrist, it's too big.

On my 6.75 ....to my eyes it just barely makes it on my wrist... that said Panerais are meant to wear and look BIG!!

But as another poster said ....if youre comfortable with the size then rock the watch for all its worth...!!!

Close up shots can make the watch appear larger, can you get someone to take a real world photo from a few feet back. Ultimately if you love it, just do it.

Even without seeing the pics, I would have guessed the watch looked too big on you based on those measurements. The pictures leave no doubt. It's fine to say Panerais are supposed to look big, but that's a bit like saying some pants are meant to be worn halfway down your ass: that doesn't mean it actually looks good.

x2

That being said, I would definitely try out some 42 and 40 models.... if you are okay with the Due range, there's even a 38mm (announced SIHH 2018) coming later this year that could fit you well.

Yes, Pams are supposed to be “worn big” according to some, but there is such a thing a too big IMO.
Maybe try a 40mm or even a 38.

Yes, that looks a bit on the big side but if you feel comfortable wearing it that is the main thing.

I agree with Eddie. And PAMs are meant to be big watches anyways

From the camera angle the watch appears large on your wrist. Try on the 42mm watches. Should work for you.

I also think the 42mm size would work better for you.

Personally I think they’re too big, but it’s really your call on what size and aesthetic you prefer.

as a guy with the same small-wrist affliction I very much sympathize and feel bad saying so, but for me it's too big.

I agree with most here that you should try 40 to 42mm

Way to big, starts to look comical. Small wrist here too 6.75 and can wear sd43 but that is way to big based on pics.

I have a 6.5 and wear a 44 max, no problem.

Remember photos don’t show how it actually looks. Whatever the photo shows, reduce it by 20-25%.

It’s like diving, the fish looks bigger than actually is.

Mirror shots are best but that pic really does make it too big. I have a 6.5 inch wrist (flat though so I have less of a problem with big watches) and the 44mm Panerai wears fine (the lugs don't extend beyond my wrist).

You don't want to buy something and then constantly question the size.

Don’t be too hasty. Get a photo from a couple of feet away. Those straps are tough and inflexible for a couple weeks and don’t bend when new. If the lugs really do extend beyond your wrist then perhaps it is too big. But remember, they are BIG watches.

I know subjective preferences differ, but I'm just going to say it: there is no way a 5.75 inch wrist can pull off a 44mm Panerai. Panerai are meant to look big, but not comical. OP could wear a 40mm, and it would still look quite large on him. I honestly think he'd be pushing things with a 42mm. IMO, 44mm just should not even be a consideration for him.

A bit large , on the flip side you have a great range to pick from with your wrist size
