"This was my husbands watch. He recently got into some trouble and is now serving a significant federal prison sentence "

Just the kind of people I want to buy an expensive watch from.

Of course it's fake, but the second hour marker that has fallen off and is now resting down by the 6 marker might be real

Dear seller, Unless you want to join your husband in the federal corrections program, I'd remove this fake Rolex from eBay. What you are doing (by listing this watch) is illegal and can land you in jail with charges of: mail fraud, copyright violations, patent infringements and the list goes on. Not worth it......please remove before eBay does. You have been reported

I think you might be right.

Having just seen first hand how the legal system locks away undesirables for significant periods of time, it seems the seller got cold feet. Good work Hunter.

I still think that sending a message warning them is too kind of a gesture on your part. If anything I'd be alerting the FBI or some other law enforcement, not the criminal committing the crime.
