Blue dail yachtmaster

Hello,
Could anyone tell me if this is real or fake from the picture. My friend has bought it but I don't believe it's real.
Shouldn't the date be more magnified? the quality looks really good so I'm not sure.

Cheers

Color me blind.
Where are the crown guards?
I hope he didn't pay much for it.
Many more things wrong but this is not the place to educate.

Can you explain for me. I don't own a Rolex so I'm not familiar what a genuine looks like.
Is the blue color the wrong shade?

Easiest way is Google Yachmaster Blue Dial.
Tons of photos to compare.

Compare to image you posted.
The differences are many.

I've just messaged my friend and sent a picture of the original. He admitted its fake and said he brought it back from Thailand. I asked him how much he paid. He said 3000 baht. Which is about £55-£60.

i could think of better things to spend £60 on!

That watch will only fool someone that doesn't know a real Rolex.
First of all, aside from many other obvious things that illustrate it's fake, it does not have crown guards.
Look at the winding crown on his, look at photo I posted. They are missing.
That was the blatantly easy one to spot but like I said, many more flags here.
