MAN OF THE WORLD: Fraudulent Order

Hey Yall,

I placed an order on 11/29/17 for an order with man of the world for a vintage Lecoutre desk clock. I sent an email asking for an update on the order 11/30 and then again on 12/5 as I didn't receive a response to my initial request for order confirmation and update

PayPal transaction processed and cleared their account immediately after placing order.

on 12/5 I received an email back from Man Of The World

"Hi Cameron,

Thank you for your order with us and for reaching out. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you on this, we’ve been completely overwhelmed with orders due to the promotion. We are backed up in shipping orders and will ask for an additional 3-5 business days to ship all orders. I see your item is getting ready to ship and will realistically be shipped on Monday. Please let me know if there’s anything else I could assist with in the meanwhile.."

Today is now 12/23 and I sent another email... Additionally, I opened up a case with PayPal under buyer protection as teh item has not shipped, no response has been provided to my inquiry, and no refund or shipping update has been provided.

If anyone is looking to purchase any of their timepieces or anything for that matter I would highly advise you stay away from others are sharing teh same frustration and experience..

What a bummer and a shame because I actually really liked the vibe and feel of teh company... guess there is a reason why they are going out of business..
