Ebay seller global-time-boston

I'm only perusing his stuff b/c he's local to me. It'd be nice to touch and check out things in person.

He seems pretty up-front about what he has. For example, he has a champagne dial 16013 and while he doesn't SAY it's an aftermarket bracelet, he says it's Italian Made.

Anyone have any opinion of the guy one way or another?

Thanks.

Might need Stan or Springer to step in here, there is no mention of reference numbers for the end pieces or fold clasp reference, now its possible the clasp is legit but the jubilee band either side is aftermarket, what do you recon guys??

Jubilee band states "Italian made" however the buckle is Rolex which is mix and match type of situation. The photos are really good and show the movement.
However my advise is to buy from Steve Mulholland here on the forum.

The bracelet could just be a straight-up counterfeit or it could be aftermarket with a Rolex clasp. Either way, his BIN price seems pretty reasonable. If you are willing to live with a fake bracelet go ahead and make an offer around $1700 and see what he says, or just drop by the store and make the offer.

Other than the bracelet it looks authentic to me and the price seems reasonable considering what you're getting.

Thanks guys. I'm still circling the waters overall but wanted to know if this guy looked legit if I decide to look at something local at a reasonable price.

I'd prefer to do biz here. I can just never pull the trigger. I've watched (NO PUN INTENDED) 3 pieces that were what I wanted slip thru my fingers. I've yet to figure out my desire of condition vs. price. I want a perfect condition watch at a cheap price. Don't we all? LOL

Don't know , let's wait for the real experts to come in on this one . I was surprised the other day to find out there are genuine Rolex buckles stamped with "made in USA" .

OK, I guess this guy is on Santa's Naughty list.

He's got 2 16013's up now, one white (the same one relisted with slightly different verbiage), one black dial. His bracelet and movement photos are IDENTICAL.

I'm wondering if either

A) he's only got one watch and will pull the second auction when he gets his price and swap dials

B) he's got 2 junk watches and one personal good watch which he swapped dials for pix.

Oh what the hey? Looking more - He's got like 4-5 varieties of this watch with identical pix.

You guys are gold for working thru all of this. Thanks!!!!

...were produced in Switzerland, the USA, Mexico, and I believe South America.

...NOT Italy, NOT Russia, NOT China, not SPAIN, NOT Africa, NOT Belgium, NOT Austria, NOT Australia, well, you get the idea.

Global time is a crook

Global time purchased a perfectly good 16610 rolex submariner from me from ebay and sent it back to me after he stripped the caseback. But before he wanted to keep it if i took over $1000 less than the price the watch sold for. Ebay sided with me in the dispute and then i saw he is selling the watch that he wanted to pay me $1800 for at a price of $5500. Check his feedbacks on ebay every watch he buys he tries to bully the seller in to taking way less money by leaving negative feedback. Please be a smart buyer and do not buy from this guy he is a crook.

Check his feedbacks on ebay under globaltimeboston that he leaves for everybody. He tried to screw me out of a watch and ebay sided with me.

Global-Time-Boston

The E-Bay members name is Global-Time-Boston. This guy is a crook from the get-go. Go to his feed back and click on "all feedbacks", You will notice how many sellers were scammed by this guy. He ruined a 100% feed back for me that went back 10 years. He seemed to enjoy doing this by the comments he made to me. The reason he has a 100% feedback is after the action closes, he PayPals the money with 3 to 5 minutes. The seller (like me) says wow, and returns a positive feed back, Then the fire works begin after he has his positive feed back. All you sellers out there,BEWARE !!!!!!

I bought a box and papers, mint condition Rolex Datejust from Global Time. His name is Dave. He seems like a cool guy. I talked to him on the phone a few times before I bought the watch from him. The man reason I decided to go with Global Time is because he is now located in Maine, which is wear I am from. I figured he was probably a decent guy. The price was fair and the watch was absolutely flawless. All of the original Rolex boxes, tags, papers and everything that was exactly as promised and he even sent it via FedEx overnight priority so I got the watch within a day.

That sucks if some people didn't feel like they got a fair deal but he was cool with me.
