Replica DateJust?
I got this watch from my father. After doing some reading on this forum, I told him that I am quite sure that this is a fake. Because he doesn't believe me, can some of you look at this watch and list some of the non genuine features. Thanks.

It is difficult to tell for certain. Looking at the photos, the watch itself looks fine. Don't know about that diamond bezel, though. That may be an after-market part.
BTW, Welcome to TRF. Hope you enjoy your time here!

Since you asked.....here goes.
That bezel looks awful and very, very cheap. If those are diamonds then I'm the President of the United States!! The rest of the watch looks poorly finished, including the non-SELs on the back. JJ

The BEST way to tell is to pop the back off and have a look at the movement.....proof is in the pudding. Just because it has a poor, fake diamond, bezel means absolutely nothing in particular. Could mean your father or someone else liked the way it looked, some folks have a strange sense of fashion. It takes a few minutes of your time to look at that movement and determine much better the authenticity of the watch........

The bezel looks hideous.
But what are the numbers on the bracelet and clasp?

I´ve seen a watch like this before, the Rolex was real but the Bezel was put on later (probably by a jeweler). Look close at the stones, you see any imperfections in them you will probably have real diamonds. The one I saw had terrible diamonds!

Thanks for all the replies. The thing that I noticed, not having the experience and eye that most of you have is that the roman numerals arent even all around the dial. Some of them land under the markers and some actually appear to cover the markers. I couldn't imagine authentic Rolex hour markers appearing this way.

Did you open the caseback (or have it opened)?
