real or fake day date?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Rolex-Preside...item3f4904291a

Is this real or fake? eBay seller has 1 feedback, so I wouldn't touch it, but it looks convincing with box and papers.

The photo of the movement shows "Rolex" instead of "Montres Rolex."

The movement looks bad. Like in not looking like a 3156...

Even if it was real, would you trust the seller with just one feedback?

The stainless steel screw in a "gold" link is a pretty good indication it's not genuine..

The eBay page looks pretty 'professional' for someone with no feedback - suggests he has done this before under a different id and had a few negs.

The bezel looks fishy, the font on the day looks off to me as well. The movement speaks for it's self. One thing that really stands out to me is the laser etched crown is visible in that shot of the dial. Am I incorrect in say it should only be visible with a loop or extreme magnifcation?

That's the Asian clone movement. Easy tell is the pink gears are not pink all the way through. You can see the brass color in the gear teeth. Looks like the picture was taken to deliberately hide that.

Why is the 5 and 7 crooked and the 7 is perfectly upright and there's only 1 after the 10... Not 11

How is it still up? Someone is going to be out 10 grand! Unless of course the highest bid ends up being the seller or his pal.

'fishycakes1' is in the wrong business and their jeweler needs to have their license revoked.

you can't sell a $500 car without a vin# but ebay allows this shit to keep going on. A '2' feedback can list a damn folex in the $10k range. WTF.

Wow that watch sold for 18k the good thing is PayPal will hold the funds since he has no feedback. So hopefully who ever bought it gets it checked asap. Also like it was already mentioned that's a very nice page for some one new to eBay .

Beat me to it. My OQ has solid gold through the link screw. (came with 2 spare links so I could see the inner workings)

The buyer is gonna need his 5-hole resleeved. This Steaming turd sold for 18k and now the fun begins between eBay, the seller, Payapal, and the buyer. Huge mess that could all be avoided if there was a better mechanism to handle these things. Frustrating beyond all.

Also, if you look the pinion forf the reverser gear (pink gear) you can see is not jewelled. Never seen a anything newer than an old 17j 1520 like that!

image.jpgThere are a bunch of the fakes going around with the clone movement. You have to be extra careful and look at the details. Some one tried selling me this watch datejust ii it had all the wrong marking but I was surprised when I opened it up to see the clone movement.

If you look at the balance bridge you can spot them right away.
