Back of the case looks terrible. Like someone's tried to open it with a butter knife...

That watch is a fake! From a known fake dealer. Stay away! This listing had been posted in the Watchout section. Check it out..

Case is fake, dial, hands, insert. Only thing real there is the movement.

How can you not see that? Look at the back of the crown guards. And the dial is an obvious fake. You should steer away.

Ok, it's your life. Please take the watch to a competent watchmaker (who specializes in vintage Rolex Subs) to certify it immediately after receiving the watch.

I don't know if it a good or bad watch. I basically do trust the members here but/and always often look for an ulterior motive or ego in peoples opinions. I would almost always defer to the side of caution.

I don't have an ulterior motive. It's not like I'm going to bid on this watch and try to curb other bidders' interests.

You should do a google search on how to spot vintage fake Rolex Submariners. Especially, take a look at tutorials on back of crown guards. This case is a fake. I have no doubt of this.

That watch is awful. How can you go from wanting the $50k specimen the other day which was stunning to this fake piece of crap?

I was speaking generally, my point was more along the lines of "I'm often skeptical but when this many people tell you no, it's best to believe them."

Tin Shears

Sorry but the clasp looks as if it were made of cheap aluminum and cut with a tin shears. The edges in the pictures shown on flea bay are that jagged.

Actually, if one looks at his posts, each and every one contained a link to one of the bogus watches on the bay. Back door way to get them viewed on this site.

Also a good way of building trust amongst the community appearing that he is "anti-fake"
