I joined the Rolex Forums to check out a members references.
I am a member of Watchuseek and had a WTB for a watch I was seeking.
A member on this forum and a new member to watchuseek "dsangil87"
contacted me to sell the watch I was looking for. He had a 0 post count on watchuseek, so I was concerned. He sent me accolades from this forum on sales and buys.
I was still apprenhensive.
His location and name corresponds to a real person in Southern California.
He told me he was in England and he wanted to have me send a moneygram for watch.
Next he wanted me to send it to his sister in NJ as he didn't want the associated higher fees. Darwin Sangil called me. First call was a blocked call.
He unfortunately called me another time and my cell showed me it was a phone number from Nigeria. He also sent me a number to call to. I googled the prefix of the number and it came up as a "redirect" prefix.
I googled his sisters name and address and it came up as a scammers name and address.
Please be wary of "dsangil87" - Darwin Sangil
Fortunately he didn't get my money,

Actually for best results, go to home page, scroll down to the bottom where it says "forum leaders", pick a mod and send them a direct PM..

It is usually best to just click the red triangle, as you'll reach all the mods at the same time, rather than just one (who may be busy, asleep, etc). In this case it seems like someone may be using that username on another forum so they can point to feedback here, which that user does have.

So the difficulty is when a scammer poses on another site as a genuine member here. What to do?
The genuine member here won't know unless someone PMs him.
And then what?

I think somebody using his name in WUS...I have done a lot of business with Darwin...He doesn't have an account in WUS...Please be careful with your account handles a lot of scammers can use it in other forum.
