RO 15400 | Plots compressing the Integrated lug?
Noticed this a while back on my 15400ST- has anyone else seen similar?
You can see slight ridges on the lug where it looks like the plots have compressed the metal and pushed it up. Not always visible, only when light catches it at certain angles. Ive worn as a dress watch (light use) to the office only and certainly not pushed the bracelet upwards such that the plots would push back against the lug Any advice appreciated! fwiw i see similar on both sides ie for all 4 plots that meet the lugs. |

Just wanted to make sure it wasn't an AP Bands issue.
Never seen it on mine after 4 years. |

I've never seen that before and has never happened to any of my APs with bracelet or straps.

Haven't seen it on mine in the year and a half I've owned it, and I wear it pretty much daily.

There is and should be some play in the endpieces as it is a link on a bracelet and not welded stiff.
Am I the only one that can't understand what the issue is? Are you refering to the "gap" between the top of the endpieces and the case?

Right above the gap there are scratches in his case. They are curved to match the shape of the lugs so he is saying the lugs are pushing up on the case, denting it.

Sorry, but this reminds me about a thread on a swedish watch forum were someone believed that his arm hair was causing swirls on the polished areas of his Rolex.

Never seen that...
Always wondered how plots and bracelets wear...but all of mine have really stayed "ding" and wear free where they are moving and connected. |

There is no way the plots are significantly stronger than the case, enough so as to cause deformation.
Any chance of better pictures, including an angle that clearly shows the metal has deformed? For me, if the plots were doing as you claim, you would have deformation in the arc profile, of which there is none – so it’s impossible to have such a cause and effect scenario. Who fitted the strap to the case? If yourself, remove the screws from the case lug, and photo the cut-out – if there’s nothing different between each side of the case, then you’re mistaken as to what you’re seeing or it wasn’t caused by the plots. |
