Let's just say the Polar Exp II is one of the few watches that looks great with a white dial. I mean, there're so many choices when it comes to great looking black dial pieces but a great looking white sports watch is far less common.

So if course I went with the Polar.

They are both great...and I've had both.

If I get another, I think it will depend on what else is in the collection at that point. Really can't go wrong either way.

Your only watch?? Oh, then the 214270!

Kidding - couldn't resist.

As mentioned, black will fly under most radars and will be easier to pair with any of your wardrobe options. The white is better, legibly speaking, but will require a more sartorial panache, if you will.

However, since this will be your only watch, I'd go the black route. That or the 214270. Hahahahaha.

Has to be black for versatility. The polar is too large and loud in this size... If you want polar I'd do the 16570.

Both are nice. I went with white though as a personal preference. However, black gives you Harley colors.

The first Rolex I fell in love with was the polar Explorer 2. Having said that, since I only have one I went for the black. As many have said, there is no wrong answer. They are very different watches, but it's very hard to chose between the two. In the end I loved the black trim on the hands. I've never seen another watch with that feature. Very cool. Good luck choosing!

This is an amazing photo. Probably one of the most legible watches I've ever seen.
