Old Rolex Box Question
Does anybody know what type of watch might have come in this box and what era it is from? I bought it from an antique dealer who said he had owned it for a long time.
Thanks JohnCote |

Welcome to the Forum!
I think this belongs in the WatchOut section.. No Rolex writing anywhere, other than "a" crown.. It appears the green sleeve was made in Italy.. Curious to hear what others say.. |

Thanks Mike and everybody.
So...if I remember correctly the Datejust was introduced in the mid '40s? I assume this would have been an early Datejust box? I guess it would have had the typical slotted green velvet board to hold the watch? JohnCote |
