Friend shows me her dads 1953 Rolex, tryin get info for her

Hello all, had lunch with a friend that mentioned she found her dads old Rolex purchased in Italy in the 50's. Looking to identify the model and direct me to someone that could put a value on it. A few pictures to follow momentarily.

I hope you find you answer, but sadly i am just learning about Rolex myself.
I think it's amazing he still has box and papers 60 years on :)
