Daytona Question

Yep - agree that our diversified member base makes this a great place to share likes/dislikes. In the spirit of full disclosure, when I saw the OF mods, I tried one on my Daytona but it was not for me either.

Not too many of us over here that has exquisite taste in fine timepieces Either way, if you're wearing a Daytona, you're doing something right. I'm debating on a 116520 or a 11618 next. Our paths may cross one day...cheers my friend! |

I'm a big believer in wearing your watch any way YOU like. NATO on Rolex is not for me. I've always felt that Rolexes look best on the factory metal bracelets. Maybe that's because Rolex does such a superb job with their bracelets that they become an integral part of the watch.

I say if you like the look do it. I tried one and the quality was just not there. I did tons of research and the brand I got had great reviews and it still was not that good quality.
Now it was costly, but I used to have an Omega PO and their OEM NATOs were awesome. The quality was 10x better again it was about 150 more to so you get what you pay for. I have come even close to buying one again and putting it on my sub, but just can't do it since it says Omega on the buckle. The quality and feel is awesome though. I know the purists will say I am foolish, but I wish Rolex would come out with a couple OEM NATO's, rubber straps etc for their sport models. Not tons of options to lessen the brand but a couple would be nice. |
