Question on GMT 16750
Hi everyone,
I have a question about my newly purchased GMT 16750. I think its crown should do (from fully screwed to fully out): (1) wind the watch (2) set hour hand (jump hours) (3) set hour/minute/gmt hands together to set GMT time. In this step, the “second” hand will stop. After I set (3), in many cases, I can’t let my watch engage back to (1) or (2) anymore. This means no matter I’m in 1,2 or 3, the watch is all doing the same thing as it is in 3. Is this normal? Does this mean the watch is broken or about to break? Thanks |

Question on GMT 16750
(2) Should be the quickset date.
The 16750 does not have a jump hour or independent hour hand. |

sorry, my typo. It's a 16760 FatLady. Pre-production without "Date" after "Oyster perpetual".

There are a lot of gears that need to slip into and out of engagement in those simple detents.
It is likely a matter of oiling and not a portent of doom.

Thanks!
This is my first post on TRF. Really glad and surprised to meet so many GMT lovers here. |
