To be honest, I really don't like the dial.

Looking sick! The nipples complement the platinum bezel nicely! Well done

The nipples look like stars glowing in the dark.

I did a test fit with a gmt nipple dial too. The gmt dial actually looks better than the matte sub dial. The black Sunray effect with the slight hint of a dark chocolate look suits the Yachtmaster case nicely in my opinion. My wife loves the look.

I'm confused. One mod shows a dial with a Submariner lettering and the other one Yacht-Master lettering, both in a YM case. I can understand the latter but why the former?

Apart from that, I see a clash between the dial satin finish and the bezel sand-blasted finish.

If you like it, sure. Me personally I wouldn't tinker with a classic. I only appreciate the YM with its traditional platinum dial.

I believe that is the test fit with the GMT Master dial.

This is correct. I did a trial fit with a gmt dial while I was waiting for the sub dial to arrive. I agree though that the matte of the sub dial doesn't quite fit with the watch but the black sun ray finish of the gmt dial is beautiful.

To me, both of those dials scream to be worn on a black leather strap. The glossiness of the strap could be matched to the glossiness of the dial, and I suspect the end result would be both attractive and cohesive.

But then again, I think most Rolexes look better on a leather strap.

Not a fan of modding Rolex's, but that does look good.

I like the look, but my OCD would not let me wear a Rolex that I know is a yacht master yet the dial says something else :(

IMHO. The original blue and platinum dials look a lot better.

I like the look. If there was a way to remove the GMT writing on the dial it would be almost prefect.

The YM that says GMT with no GMT function is, well, confusing.

I’m a purist. No, just no. It’s not a yacht master with a gmt or sub dial. Why buy a yacht master if you want a sub or GMT. It’s just wrong. But, each to his own. I think for real collectors and enthusiasts this would not be an option.
