The new Seadweller...

Thanks for all the positive feedback in my previous thread. I have two questions that I hope you could help me with;

1. The SD is supposed to be a 50th anniversary watch. What does this mean? That the model will not be produced for long? I read somewhere that the red text will turn white after a while?

2. Is this the new Seadweller diameter you think or will it go back to its roots (looking at the SD4000 that was only produced for a very short time). Will the SD now settle down and be around looking like this?

Thanks!

To your question:

1) 50 years of Sea Dweller (i.e. the model has been in production for 50 years)

2) No, this is the form (126600 @ 43mm) they will be sticking with in the near foreseeable future.

Don't forget that the previous two models of the Sea Dweller (16600 and 116600) were both 40mm.

Why should the RED turn white? The new ceramic models will stay shiny (and their dials mint) for years after none of us are here is my inkling.

I think what the OP means, it’s Rolex will switch back to white for the text on dial.
