Rolex Daytona and Panerai 190?

Would you choose Rolex Daytona over Panerai 190 or vice versa?

If you are taking about the 116520, I would definitely say the Daytona is a better looking watch. Comes on a bracelet too, so will be more versatile if you enjoy physical activities too.

190 is classic, excellent movement, great looking and holds value in an otherwise weak PAM market. The SS Daytona as is does nothing for me right now. IF they had SS Daytona with Ceramic Bezel much different story. So I would go 190 personally

I'm not a PAM fan and even if I try to stay neutral, it's still the Daytona.

190. Only 2050 of them and they stopped being made 8 years ago. JLC 8 day movement is amazing. Daytona is easy to find later if you want it. Of course, really apples and oranges and not really comparable.

Thanks for all your input, I have parted with my Daytona SS before, but now wanting to own it again, it kind of bugs me having a collection without it.

My thought on 190, it is a rare Pam and probably the best Radiomir ever made, of course when people have it and they don't want to sell it. Worth owning it.

I agreed they are two different watches, DaytonaSS is iconic, however on the flip side, it is a bit mainstream. Pam 190 has its own charm, rarity and JLC movement are the two outstanding merits that not so many Pams can compete with. I did expect more votes on Daytona SS as I've posted it in Rolex. Thanks guys

I have both a ss Daytona and a 190. Love both but I have to say, the 190 is a very compelling PAM. It's the only one I own...or will ever own after having several in the past. The dial, rose gold hands and the JLC movement are wonderful. Keep it on a black OEM alligator strap it's a great piece. The Daytona is a go anywhere do anything watch. So hard choice.

Good luck with your decision.

The Daytona is an iconic classic. I also have a Pam and it probably gets more wrist time that the Daytona, but I do love the Daytona.

I own a 190 and was thinking of a swap for a Daytona. I don't wear the 190 more than once a week but really like the watch. When it came down to doing a trade I could not make the trade. 190 is a special watch. I have a 50/50 collection. Half Rolex Half Panerai.

I totally understand how you feel for the 190, it is hard to let go for a trade like that.
