I paid more for my Pelagos than.....

I paid for my 16610 Sub.
Both have luminova and bought new from an AD.

Quiz: How is that possible?

You bought your Sub in the mid-late 90's and you bought your Pelagos recently.

You were intoxicated when you bought the pelagos... the seller was intoxicated when he sold the sub to you...

If you bought the sub today that wouldn't be true.
Congrats on the Pelagos, enjoy!

OK. Here is the answer, and some almost got it.
I bought the 16610 Sub. in the summer of 2000 and the Pelagos this August.
The Sub. listed for $3,200 and the Pelagos for $4,100.

You gotta think.. that was 14 years ago...

Either way the price of luxury mechanical watches in general just sky rocketed in the past few years. Ablogtowatch made an article about it recently.

Stocking up on some Pepsi GMTs woulda paid off nicely today...
