Never got why MDs needed a pulsometer graduated to 30 beats. Seems simpler to count number in 30 seconds and multiply x 2 (or 15 x 4, or 10 x 6...).

Not all of the 135 ‘32 Marines made had been sold back in 2007 when this model was added to the Museum lineup. I was lucky to learn where a new one had been tucked away.

Just brought it home this week so currently unworn - you can see my daily Sochi Petrograd in the background.

This was by no means an impulse purchase - it’s taken a while to both save and muster the courage to spend so much on a single item but it’s been at the top of my wish list for many years.

This ‘32 Marine will sit next to my Master PloProf because to me they represent the two extreme bookends to Omega’s history of divers watches - one being a reissue of their first, and the Master PloProf being the pinnacle of their modern watchmaking competence.

(If it’s not a familiar model then some interesting info can be found here that explains the waterproof double case and how Omega had to work around a Rolex patent back in the day: http://www.vintagewatchstraps.com/blogomegamarine.php).
