Who is buying the Tudor Black Bay Bronze (Poll)?

R u buying or not? Opinions welcome. As of now, I plan to buy!

I like:
The color
The worn leather strap
The fact it's 43MM
In house movement
The "thickness"

I dislike:
The shield v. the rose

I asked my AD his opinion of it since he saw it live in Basel and all he said was that it looks better in pictures than in real life. This is only one person's opinion but I usually have the same taste in watches as he does so it's a no for me.

Very interesting. I've honestly only seen the pictures, and the video from ablogtowatch.com on Youtube, and that's been enough to push me over the edge. I just feel it's a very unique piece, and hopefully, I feel different than your AD!

Will need to see it in person, but for now... No.

Not a big fan of them increasing the size, plus I have blinders on for the white ceramic Daytona at the moment.

I like that it's bronze, but I'm not a fan of it being 43mm. IMO, a Black Bay shouldn't be bigger than a Pelagos.

My AD said a similar thing about the PVD model when he saw it.

Did he have any comments about the BB36?

Yup, same here. if it were 41mm like the previous Black Bay then I'd buy it without hesitation. At 43mm I think I'll drop by at an AD and try it on first.

I will be a maybe. Definitely have to see it in person and try it on. Tough call.

No. Too big and I'm still not sure about the look. Well, I'm not a fan of the dial either so that would definitely be a no...

I agree. Snowflake hands go perfectly with square plots, but not as well with regular plots imho. Now would've been a great time to drop the snowflake hand. Oh well, I'm still interested.

I asked about that model as well and he just said he didn't think it would look that good after some wear.

I hate to say it, but that watch is just a bit cheesy to me. Any black metal watch in general is (again, to me). Based on the response on Instagram, though, people seem to love it. It's definitely different.

Also, here's a video showing the new bronze and the PVD black watch if anyone is interested:

Yes I will be buying one. I have been wanting a bronze watch and I LOVE the size because I have big wrists. Add that it is from Tudor and a new in-house movement and I am pretty excited about this watch. Now if I had girly wrists maybe I wouldn't be excited.

I fell in love with the look of the blue Pelagos. I very nearly bought one of the many fine examples posted here on the Forum. The other day, I got to try one on at the AD. It's too tall for me! Like the DSSD, looks bad on my particular emaciated wrist. I love big watches, wear my Black Bay at least once a week, but the profile of the Pelagos didn't work for me. Lesson learned: I can't wait to try on the Black Bay Bronze, but have no idea whether it's a possibility or not for me.

Tudor shouldn't have added so many variations of their black bay. I think the original 3 colours were perfect and maybe that 36mm baby black bay but thats it. No bronze, no PVD. sometimes less is best but thats just me

The BB already wears bigger than it's 41mm size, would think 43mm will be massive, like a 45mm.

I would need an oyster bracelet option, first. The size might be too big. I do love the root beer dial though.

Have you had a chance to check out the youtube link above? I have to admit, I am bad with judging sizes. It looks like 43MM to me, perhaps I am wrong?

As has been said by others - sadly I prefer the vintage Tudor rose to the more modern shield, and as I have the wrists of a child attached to the body of a 50 (nearly) year old man - it's simply too big for me.
