Any interest in Panerai? They have them at Copley. At least you could wear it for 6 months and likely flip it easily.

Or drive to NY and get the Rolex I guess.

I honestly don't know much about Panerai, but if they cost close to what a BLNR costs, I'll pass.

Chicago's Rolex Boutique is essentially Tourneau, but branded as a Rolex boutique. You may want to see if the card can be used there.

So, update to this thread.

Found a Tourneau in NYC that supposedly has a BLNR in stock.

Driving 4 hours to NYC tonight, staying at a hotel in the city, and going to the AD when they open tomorrow morning to hopefully bring home this elusive Batman.

Hoping it looks as good on the wrist as everyone says it does, I've never tried one on before.

Wish me luck!

Good idea! If that doesn't work out, keeping driving down to Philadelphia, and I'll give you cash for your gift card. How does $6000 sound?

Looks like a lot of love for the BLNR, I'll have to try it on in the store and see if I like the way it looks on the wrist. But I think I'll like it because of the PCL's.
But I like the pitch forks!!! I'd go put a deposit down on the new Daytona as was said. Or better yet sell it to me for $6K.

Can't wait to see the incoming. Makes the most sense to get something that sells close to MSRP on the preowned market so great call!

This is ridiculous! Great deal for you...you are essentially paying 60 cents on a dollar, so even if you overpay, you should be getting a great deal.
Your friend is silly. He should just buy a watch and sell it...he would make out better than the deal you are giving him.

How much did Tourneau charge? I'm assuming full boat plus tax? Did you have to pay out of pocket or did the gift card cover everything? 5500 for a BLNR.. your up at least 2k at the moment. Well done.

full boat plus tax, yes

8950 + 8.875% NY sales tax = $9744

after the difference in sales tax, i essentially paid $5900 total

plus travel expense, but i'll just consider that personal enjoyment
