Rolex Relume Dial?

Hi fellow watch enthusiasts!!!!
I am a proud owner of my first Rolex! Explorer 2 16570! I love everything about this watch: the polar dial, readability, size and weight, etc...

The only downside is the weak lume, and apparently that is a weak spot for all Rolex lines, even the ones with the new blue lume!!! It made me start wondering.... would you guys ever consider relume the dial? Will that hurt resell ability down the line? Does anyone have experience with this?

I'd leave it alone.....Not sure what the obsession about lume is but I hardly use it in daily life. Not worth devaluing the watch/get a nasty relume job (which most of them are).

Is this a tritium or Luminova dial? How about a photo of the dial? I really like the lume on my 16570.

I'd leave as is. The watch is too beautiful to mess with and as someone else just pointed out, the relume may not turn out as well as expected and you would devalue the watch. In my opinion, it's not worth it. My Submariner doesn't have the same lume as my GMT and it's just the beauty of it all, that makes owing Rolex watches, so enjoyable. For what it's worth,I would not touch it. Keep it's virginity. Once it's gone, it's gone forever

You'd need a new dial. If you could source the dial, you could also keep the original.

For as little as I use the lume, never had an issue, even on my 16710. If I wake up at 4am and want to see the time, they are all perfectly readable. The lume is all relative to how your eyes have adjusted to the lighting conditions.

with mine it always depends on how much i was in the sun, i live in a tropical/sunny place so when I'm in the sun during the day it will glow all night! if i just lounge around the house and only spend a few minutes outdoors it barely glows

If you need the glow in the dark than get the complete dial new. I would keep the original dial just incase you need to sell your watch.
