I'd bring one and it wouldn't leave my wrist

I love cruises, and generally trust the ship safes (possibly my foolishness). On the ship I’d wear any watch, but for shore excursions, I’d probably wear a G Shock or a real beater. To me there are too many ways a watch can get lost, stolen or damaged on shore. I lost a wallet on a shore excursion once, and the museum it was lost in sent it to my home with all credit cards and cash untouched. But that was in Sweden, I have my doubts about the Caribbean.

Leave the DD40 at home it's not worth it regardless of whether or not you have insurance. If something happens thats another added headache to your list.

Thanks everyone. We cruise a lot I just have never taken two watches. I've come home with two watches. I have never had an issue with safety.

I only have one Rolex that I wear all the time, but when I’m on the road I never take it off.

Seems like you have no problem With the one on your hand, and are only asking about the second one left behind in the ship. I wouldn’t worry about it and take them both. You said they are insured. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can bring both, I just bought my YM2 Gold 116688, Sub Green 16610LV and my wife's YM1 midsize. The room had a safe so I was fine. This also means in North America.

The safe thing to do is just take a beater and leave both at home. I pay my insurance and would take both. Wear them, enjoy and if something happens, ok. I am not saying throw common sense out, but wear your watches.

I only bring one nice watch when cruising. If you're going to worry about it, leave one at home.
