I love mine! I would shop around. There are some smoking deals on the used market since this is not an overly sought after watch. But if you find a good deal BNIB that would also be worth it. There is something about the contrast of the white face with the black hands and markers that just make it pop on the wrist.

Check this thread out...maybe the more recent posts, but you'll see you can't go wrong. I second buying bnib over used from davidsw.

I bought mine new from DavidSW. I had a significant extra savings by not having to pay CA sales tax.

All said and done, mine was just under $2000 less than I would have paid full retail plus tax at the AD.

Same deal here! That tax savings is huge for one, and his price helps too. Couldn’t be happier. David is the man (unless you want a SS blue skyD )

I’ve bought several from David, and I couldn’t be happier with my transactions with him.

I wish I knew about him before I bought my first. Thank you TRF for the knowledge over the years.

The white Explorer 2 is pretty and really legible. However, the black one is prettier but not as legible as the polar.

I prefer to buy new, so I would say get a new one.

I went with the black dialled version after going back and forth between it and the Polar.
The only Rolex I've ever grown attached to, it gets more regular wrist time than any other watch in my collection, it's a superb all round piece. I got mine used, but mint and complete and saved substantially.
