Flip 116600 for 126600 Anniversary SDC4K?

Already know what the answer will be..or at least I think I do! So what’s your thoughts?

If you know then that's all that matters in this case.

Been struggling with this myself, but everyone is still charging over list price for it, and meanwhile, the old SD4K is appreciating in value. So it's definitely not financially smart and I decided to wait.

Not so much over list in the last few weeks by trusted sellers. As well, I got the call last night from an AD that I have good history with to buy at list as they have one in stock!

Well, which way are you leaning? Putting aside the fact the SD4K is discontinued, if I had to choose between the two I’d go SD 43.

Yes, I’m definitely leaning in a particular direction...but wanted to see what the forum members thoughts were! That said, having had the opportunity to try on the SD43...I do feel like it’s proportionally a home run as compared to the maxi case Sub design! If you’ve read any of my my 116600 reviews or comments on others threads, you would also see that I feel it has much better proportions than the Maxi Case Subs as well!

Get both SD's and a 4 or 5 digit Sub.

The 43 looks too much like a sub, imho.

I have owned both and prefer the 126600. The 116600 is still a great watch.

SD43 for me. but I admit to being surprised that the poll is as close as it is. I thought he SD4K would be ahead by a huge margin

Most people who have the 116600 will vote 116600. Most people who don’t have either but have never seen the SD43 in the metal or have *very* small wrists will vote 116600. Most people who look at the appreciating prices of the 116600 and view it from a purely financial perspective will vote 116600.

However:

Most people who actually own and have lived with the SD43 will vote SD43

And that should tell you all you need to know

Ps. If you have a very small wrist get a mint 16600.

The 5 digit seadweller is the best dweller Rolex ever created.

The 126600 is the one. Everything I want in a daily diver.
The 116600 is a great watch but didn't stick with me.

The only resemblance to a Sub is the cyclops. Bezel, dial, lume pip, case, profile are all different

I'm going to give you my honest opinion. I made this trade already and regretted it. I wanted the new and "improved" sd43 and I got it. I traded my sd4000 and some cash for it. I liked it for a while but got tired of the weight and missed the 40mm size of the sd4000. I quickly sold the sd43 and found another sd4000. Now I appreciate this watch! After wearing the new one I realized I had the perfect one all along. The fact that it's discontinued also makes it a little more special. DONT DO IT!

Ahh, the voice of reason

I think Rolex nailed it with the SD43, but if I were going to own a different variation it would be 4 digit (if I could afford one)
